5 steps to create a great landing page

1. Keep it simple.

The first step to creating a high-converting landing page is to keep it simple. Too much text, images, or other elements can be overwhelming for visitors and cause them to leave your page without taking action. Stick to the essentials: a headline, a few sentences of copy, and a lead capture form. You can also include an image or video to help explain your offer in more detail.

2. Make it relevant.

Your landing page should be highly relevant to the offer you’re promoting. If you’re running a campaign to generate leads for your new eBook, for example, your landing page should be all about that eBook. Don’t try to promote multiple offers on one page; it will only confuse visitors and make them less likely to take action.

3. Use a strong call-to-action.

Once you’ve got your headline and copy in place, it’s time to add a strong call-to-action (CTA). Your CTA should be clear and concise, and it should tell visitors exactly what they need to do next in order to claim your offer. For example, if you’re giving away an eBook, your CTA might say “Download Now.” 

4. Include a lead capture form.

The whole point of using a landing page is to generate leads, so make sure you include a lead capture form on your page. Your form should be short and sweet; ask for only the essential information you need in order to follow up with your new lead. For example, you might ask for their name, email address, and company name. 

5. Test, test, test!

Once you’ve got your landing page up and running, it’s important to test it out to see how well it’s performing. Try different versions of your headline and copy to see what converts best. You can also experiment with different CTAs and lead capture forms to find what works best for your audience. The only way to know for sure what works is to test different elements and see what gets the best results.
